Jan Arrigo (American) is an award winning artist and author from New Orleans. Her art has been exhibited throughout the United States in museums and galleries including The Griffin Museum of Photography, T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Museum, Pensacola, FL, The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans' The Ratner Museum, Bethesda, MD, Soho Photo, NY, Brickworks Gallery, Atlanta; Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, CA, The Center for Fine Art Photography, Ft.Collins, CO; S.E. Center for Photography, Greenville, S.C., the New Orleans Photo Alliance Gallery, Arthur Roger Gallery New Orleans, South x Southeast Photo Gallery, Molina, GA, and Artworks Gallery in Austin, Texas among others.

Arrigo studied painting at The Art Students League, photography at ICP, the International's Center of Photography and graduate art history at CUNY in New York. She holds a BA in Communications from Loyola University and was a New York media professional working in advertising and publishing for many years. She is the author and contributing author to several books about New Orleans and about art.

A former museum educator, Arrigo has lectured at ICP, The Museum of the Moving Image, and the New York Historical Society.
